ASSEMBLY:
The video below shows how to assemble your PRO Flag.

STEP ONE:

Charge each device with a USB-C power supply immediately after unboxing.

ON:
Flag and Receiver: From OFF, press and hold the button  (5 seconds) until the device buzzes.

The green light will fade brighter.

โ€‹โ€‹

OFF:
Flag: From ON, Double-press and hold the button (5 seconds) until the Flag buzzes. The green light will fade to off.

Receiver: From ON, press and hold the button (5 seconds) until the Receiver buzzes. The green light will fade to off.

LED STATUS:
While ON, each device will periodically blink blue. If the battery is below 10%, the device will blink red.

From OFF, the device will slowly pulse red if plugged into a USB-C power supply. This indicates the battery is charging. The LED will turn solid green to indicate the battery is done charging. The device’s battery will also charge if plugged in from ON, but the LED behavior won’t change.

DFU MODE:
There are two methods for putting each device into DFU mode.

Plug in either device from OFF such that the LED is pulsing red. Doing so will place the device into DFU mode.

If a DFU is necessary while a power supply is not nearby, for either device from OFF, press and hold the button (12 seconds) continuously after the device buzzes and until the LED pulses between blue and pink. This indicates the device is in DFU mode for two minutes.

WIRELESS LINKS:
After the Receiver is turned on, it is ready to be linked. The first and second rareBit PRO Flag devices that send a page alert within range of the Receiver will be linked to that Receiver.

NOTE: In the case of two rareBit PRO Sets being used within proximity to each other, users should be careful to link their devices quickly so as to avoid doubly-linked Flags and Receivers. Only the Receiver “knows” which devices are linked to it. If a Receiver is linked to two Flags, it will not link and thus not communicate with any additional Flags. On the other hand, the Flags do NOT “know” when they have been linked. PRO Flags operate in one-direction only and will always communicate with any and all Receivers it has been linked to - potentially concurrently. To “erase” a Receiver’s links, simply turn the Receiver OFF and ON again.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
If either device appears to be acting strange, power the device with a known good USB-C power supply and cable capable of delivering five volts (5V). If the device pulses red, proceed with a DFU recovery or hard reset. If the device does not pulse red after being plugged in from OFF, leave the device plugged in and check to see if the device is advertising its DFU service anyway. If not, remove the USB-C power supply and allow the battery to drain completely for at least 72 hours before attempting to plug back into a power supply.
